Reading the grade code
The letter is the series (A or B); the number is the chlorine level: 1 is about 62 %, 2 is about 52 %, and 3 is about 42 %. Within the same chlorine level, the B series is more viscous and less volatile than the A series.

Secondary plasticizers extend a primary plasticizer rather than replace it. Chlorinated paraffin (CP) is the secondary plasticizer Superior Plasto Chem supplies: a clear, light pale yellow, viscous liquid offered in two series (A and B) and three chlorine levels (about 42 %, 52 % and 62 %).
Beyond PVC, CP is used as an additive in metalworking fluids, cutting oils, gear oils, sealants, mastics, paints and coatings, and in leather and textile treatment chemistry. We publish the full grade table, including viscosity and volatile loss, so a procurement or technical team can shortlist a grade without a first phone call.

The letter is the series (A or B); the number is the chlorine level: 1 is about 62 %, 2 is about 52 %, and 3 is about 42 %. Within the same chlorine level, the B series is more viscous and less volatile than the A series.
Volatile loss at 180 °C and the thermal stability index (HCl evolved after four hours at 175 °C) indicate how a grade behaves under processing heat. Compare these numbers against your own processing temperature and residence time.

·FAQ
Our existing business materials state that we export all grades of chlorinated paraffin and coated and uncoated calcium carbonate. Send your destination country with your enquiry so we can confirm feasibility and documentation.
Our specification sheet states that specific grades can be tailored to customer requirements, and that values may deviate slightly depending on paraffin origin. Tell us the chlorine level, viscosity and volatile-loss window you need and we will confirm what is achievable.
